Our History
JKA Wellington is karate club located in Miramar, Wellington and affiliated with the Japan Karate Association of New Zealand (JKANZ). The dojo is overseen by JKA New Zealand Chief Instructor Sensei Karl Naoroji (6th dan).

Sensei
TOMÁŠ ZATLOUKAL (4th DAN)
Originally from Brno, Czech Republic where he trained and acted as an instructor in a local JKA karate club (http://www.karate-klub.cz/). Now permanently residing in Wellington, New Zealand. Tomáš has been practicing karate for over 10 years.
Tomáš is currently a 4th Dan Black Belt from JKANZ, having passed Yon Dan in May 2024. He is also a qualified JKA Instructor.
Tomáš regularly attends international and regional seminars conducted by JKA. In October 2024 he visited Takasaki Japan to compete in the 16th Funakoshi Ginchin Karate World Cup as well as visiting Tokyo to attend the annual JKA Autumn karate camp organised by Honbu Dojo.
